Epoxy wood trailer floors are a great option for durable floors that won’t require special care. They are also a cost-effective alternative to other flooring options. You will need to do a few things to epoxy your trailer floor. First, you will need to prepare the surface that you will be epoxying.
This can be done by sanding the floor until it is smooth or using a rough surface. Next, you will need to buy epoxy. A few different types of epoxy are available, so make sure to find the one that is right for the job.
Finally, you will need to prepare the surface to that you are going to be applying the epoxy. This can be done by using a substrate coat or by using a primer.
Once these preparations are made, you can start applying the epoxy. It is important to use good quality epoxy and to apply it correctly. The most important thing to remember is to use a trowel.

Can You Power Wash Epoxy Floors?

If the floor becomes extremely dirty, you can mix up some Simple Green and water and use the hose to wash the floor down. If the garage epoxy floor becomes particularly dusty, you may wash it down with a garden hose and dish-cleaning liquid like Simple Green.
Pressure washing is no longer required but is acceptable if desired. Simply do not zero the nozzle. You should never use a pressure washer for resurfacing epoxy floors.
Porous surfaces may require cleaning by applying a commercial floor cleaner or a very diluted detergent solution to the surface. Rinse thoroughly, and allow it to dry completely before coating the floor with epoxy.
Many flooring contractors will apply a primer coat to certain substrates before they are applied with epoxy as part of the installation process.
This will act as an extra barrier against water penetration while still acting as a reinforcing joint filler and sanding bolster caulking. Primer is not needed for hard surfaces like concrete, asphalt, and sealed wood.
