Anyone with basic skills can install it. The third option is to use spray foam insulation. Spray foam insulation is easy to install and provides an R-value value as high as R-35 per inch of thickness, making it the best option.

A simple solution is to rake up any snow and remove it from under the insulation. Then you can apply additional insulation to problem areas of your roof without worrying about poor bonding.
