What is a Stilt Floor?

Stilt floor  basically means a floor of the building that is open but supported by pillars with all four sides  or walls open. Stilt Floor are usually used for  parking, generator room, switch room, society room & information room with minimum height of 2.1 meters and maximum height 3.0M. floor to floor.

Stilts are posts, poles, or pillars used to allow  support the weight of a structure or building to stand at a distance above the ground. In flood  prone areas and even on beaches or unstable soil ground, buildings are often designed and constructed on stilts in order  to protect them from damage by  waves water or shifting ground soil or sand.

Stilt houses are  types of houses raised on piles foundation over the surface of the water, but they may also be built on sand or dry land.. Stilt houses are basically  houses built on elevated platforms. These type of house are built mainly that way to protect against flooding, and they also keep out vermin. The shady space under the house can be used for work or storage.

Stilt floor

Stilt Houses can be built in a variety of locations, but are commonly found in tropical climate countries. Buildings that are raised above the ground do not need any extensive foundations or excavations. Due to the elevation of the prefab stilt houses and natural height differences, it gives each house open southerly views, trellises, and glazing to create a balance between open areas and the need for privacy.

Stilt houses are considered as eco-friendly as they can be easily built without causing significant harm to the landscape.
