Manual Dry cycles do not have this issue because they continue drying the garments until the timer sounds.

This is why the Damp Alert was created. It will sound an alarm when the load reaches approximately 80% dry.

This is your cue to remove all dry clothing and leave the remaining ones, allowing the cycle to continue. Additionally, this is an excellent opportunity to remove anything you wish to hang or air dry.

Meet the minimum load size.

The minimum load size is approximately four standard bath towels. If there is less than that in the dryer, there may be insufficient to brush against the sensor bars and alert the dryer to the presence of wet laundry.

4. To switch off the dryer, press Power.

Power Challenges

If you have a gas dryer, unhook it from the wall and test the outlet by plugging something else into it.

Switch for the Door

When the dryer door is closed, the door switch is activated. When activated, the door switch on the majority of dryers creates an audible clicking sound.

To test whether the door switch is functioning properly, turn on your dryer and listen for the “click.” If the door switch clicks, it is most likely not malfunctioning.

 If you do not hear a click, check the door switch for continuity with a multimeter. Replace the switch if it does not have continuity.
