Is Llumar Window Film Good?

Yes. LLumar window films are among the most dependable products on the market. They filter out nearly all of the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays. This provides valuable protection and a higher level of comfort for those who live or work in these areas.

Properly installed and maintained, LLumar window films are maintenance-free. They don’t need to be re-applied or reactivated, which means you won’t have to worry about them falling off of your windows. After the sun is out, you can simply wash your windows clean with soapy water and a glass scraper.

Llumar window films are made of PVC – a chemical-free film that is waterproof and won’t fade. They’re also breathable, so you’ll stay cool when it’s hot outside. In fact, Llumar window films can help to keep the inside of your home or business cooler in the summertime.

Llumar is made with ultra-thin layers that block more than 99% of harmful ultraviolet rays – but it still lets you enjoy all of the natural light and views through your windows. It’s also conformable, so it fits most glass types flawlessly and easily.

You can also apply window films in all kinds of weather, including extreme heat and extreme cold. This can help your business or home reap the benefits of window films year-round.

If you have any doubts about whether the product is right for you and your needs, talk to a Llumar dealer. They’ll let you know if the film will work with your specific window type if it’s durable enough to withstand your location’s climate and much more.

There are many kinds of window film on the market, but only a small percentage can really compare to Llumar. Your home or business will be comfortable and enjoyable to stay in year-round.

Can You Cut Window Film To Size?

Yes. Place your cut window film piece on the glass, and release the liner facing you. You can now trim the window film to fit perfectly. While you cut, have someone hold the window film up to the glass. Spray the film and the glass with your solution to temporarily adhere it to the window.

After the glass and film are temporarily adhered, carefully trim the excess film as close to the glass as possible. Installing window films on your public building will reduce the amount of energy you use for cooling and heating.

This can also help to increase comfort by reducing glare and UV rays that come in through windows. Window films do all this while maintaining proper visibility, which is an important aspect of security.

As a bonus, your building will be more attractive due to the dramatic reduction in heat gain or loss. You can even add patterns to the windows with window film, giving your building a unique look.

If you’re trying to do a tiny job on window corners, like cutting down one side of an 8×8″ square, for example, it’s best to take some extra time and cut larger pieces of the film instead of smaller ones. If you try to cut one 8×8″ square of film, it’s difficult to get a neat, clean cut.

If you’re trying to cut down one side of an 8×8″ square that’s a little over 3/4″, for example, you could use two pieces of film that are 3×3″ each – like shown in the picture on the left. Trim them down so that they’re all even with each other – as shown in the picture on the right. This will give you an even 8×8″ piece of film. Then trim your window film piece to size.
